Ming 17.09 Blue - 2022

Ming 17.09 Blue - 2022
The creator of Ming watches, Mr Ming Thein, is not your ordinary watch company founder, nor an ordinary man. Graduating from high school at 12 yo and from Oxford with a degree in physics at 16, he has always had an incredible curiosity for many fields, including design and photography which led him to watch collecting. Mr Thein ended up looking for watches with something different, and he and his group of friends and business partners have been making waves with his eponymous brand since 2017 when they launched the first model, the 17.01.
I was fortunate enough to acquire a Ming 17.06 ‘copper’ when it was released a few years ago, and was very impressed with the design and overall quality. The brand has a faithful collector following and gone from strength to strength, releasing some incredible models, usually with gradually increasing prices.
The 17.09 was released in 2021 and delivered up until early 2022, as this example dating from April 2022
