This piece has seriously become my new favourite sub-$5k dress watch.

Named after the brand’s founder, who worked with a little brand called A.Lange & Sohne before launching Union in the famous German watchmaking town of Glashutte, this watch features :

• Stunning sandblasted grey-blue shimmering dial with separate white enamel outer ring creating 3D effect and printed railway tracks on both main and sub dials

• Very wearable 41mm size

• Great point of difference, Hand-winding and power reserve indicated in Ze German language on ze dial - and beautifully subtle cut-out segments reminiscent of FPJourne watches

• In -house manual-wind movement with 60 hour power reserve

• Display case-back showing off the nicely decorated 20 jewel movement

• Silicon hairspring for excellent precision

Having examined this watch closely, I can say that it is punching well above it’s weight and represents amazing bang-for-buck. Even though Union Glashutte is a smallish brand that does not have official representation in Australia, it is part of the Swatch group so support is available. It goes without saying that I will provide full warranty.

German engineering and quality in a rare package !

I have worn a couple of times but watch presents as LNIB, no scratches.
